What the DeCA is
The DeCA (Documento Electrónico de Control Administrativo) is the electronic control document that must accompany road freight in Spain. It replaces the paper delivery note: it is a PDF generated from data — not a scan or a photo of a piece of paper — and it is issued before the transport begins.
One button and you’re going
The driver taps START SERVICE and only has to say where they are: ACN when loading at origin, VEC when unloading at destination. That decides the order of the wizard. In VEC the document is marked as issued outside the time limit, because the DeCA is meant to be issued before the transport begins — better to know that beforehand than afterwards.
Works with no signal
Everything is saved on the phone first and uploaded when there is a network again. If something is sent twice, it is not duplicated. You can work all day in an industrial estate with no coverage and sync when you get home.
Photograph the delivery note
One photo and the fields come pre-filled. Where there is doubt — two tax numbers on the sheet, a blurred date — the candidates are shown with the literal transcription of what the paper says next to them, and a person chooses. The AI proposes; you confirm. The document is not issued while a single field is left unconfirmed.
Reading the photo needs coverage. Without it you type the data in as always: it is a help, not a required step.
Less typing
Plates, origins and destinations autocomplete from what you have already used, and the place nearest to where the truck is gets suggested first.
Signature, place and time
The consignee signs with a finger on the screen, with their name and ID number and any reservations they want on the record. The stroke is stored with timestamps and, if the driver wants, the position. Recording the position is optional: the rules do not require coordinates and the document is just as valid without them.
The signature captured on screen is a signature of conformity and proof of delivery. It is not an advanced or qualified electronic signature.
Roadside checks in five seconds
Issuing generates the PDF with its QR code. The officer scans it and the document downloads directly, with no username and no password, as the Resolución of 5 June 2026 requires. If the document is later corrected, the URL and the QR do not change: the printout the driver keeps in the cab still works.
What goes wrong is on the record
Delays, waiting time, damage, shortages, refused deliveries. They are logged with their time and place, printed on the document as an observation under article 6.h), and sent to the consignor.
On all your devices
A service started on the computer is finished on the phone. And the delivery-note photos that were sent to be read stay stored with the service: if someone disputes a weight eight months later, you show the paper it came from.
Back office and ERP
A desktop dashboard with search by reference, plate, client or date, full traceability of every document, and a warning for anything issued outside the time limit. For consignors with their own system: an API with a key, and HMAC-signed webhooks when a service closes, so invoicing happens without anyone typing anything.
Someone else’s DeCA, filed
When the control document was issued by someone else and you put up the truck, photograph it or attach it and it is filed alongside your own services as proof of the haul. It is not a DeCA of yours: it gets no QR and no download address of its own. The list flags the ones you have not gone through yet, because until they are checked they cannot be invoiced.

What is the DeCA and when does it become mandatory?
The DeCA is the electronic control document for road freight in Spain. It is mandatory from 5 October 2026 under Ley 9/2025, de 3 de diciembre, which amends the LOTT. Its minimum content is set by article 6 of Orden FOM/2861/2012, and the technical characteristics of the electronic document by the Resolución of 5 June 2026 (BOE-A-2026-12784).
Does Senda DeCA work without coverage?
Yes. Documents are stored on the device first and uploaded when there is a network again, and if something is sent twice, it is not duplicated. The only feature that needs coverage is reading the delivery note from a photo — without it, you fill the fields in by hand.
Does the AI fill in the document by itself?
No. The AI proposes values read from the photo and shows the literal transcription of what the paper says next to each one; a person confirms them. Nothing goes into an issued document without being confirmed, and the document cannot be issued while a field is still unconfirmed.
Is the on-screen signature an electronic signature?
It is a signature of conformity — proof of delivery — captured on the screen with the signatory’s name and ID number, the timestamp of the stroke and, optionally, the position. It is not an advanced or qualified electronic signature, and we do not describe it as one.
What is the difference between Senda Port and Senda DeCA?
Senda Port is the full platform for running a transport business: GPS tracking, VeriFactu invoicing, electronic consignment notes and fleet paperwork. Senda DeCA does one thing only — issue Spain’s DeCA control document from the cab — and is aimed at self-employed drivers and small fleets who need to meet the obligation without changing how they work.
